It can be confusing. The colors of the awareness ribbons have a variety of meanings. Awareness ribbons are formed by taking short pieces of ribbon and folding it into a loop to wear to represent awareness and support. I have been a registered nurse for more than 25 years and have been involved with breast cancer, HIV/AIDS and domestic violence awareness organizations and found that there were many other causes that had limited information sources for anyone associated with them.
